
Velika’s practice focuses on civil litigation matters, including Federal Employers’ Liability Act and transportation litigation, commercial vehicle liability, premises liability, asbestos-related toxic torts, personal injury, and a variety of commercial claims.
Prior to joining LCBF, Velika worked at a law firm with a national presence, where she focused on commercial and healthcare litigation. She also represented employers in Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Compensation, as well as immigration matters.
During law school, she was a Dean’s Fellow, a Thurgood Marshall Scholar, and a merit scholarship recipient, as well as a Notes Editor and the Technology Editor of the Public Contract Law Journal. Velika also received the Excellence in Oral Advocacy Award in the Dentons Government Contracts Moot Court Competition. She served as a legal assistant for Professor Arthur E. Wilmarth, Jr. and was a judicial intern for the Honorable Noel L. Hillman of the United States District Court: District of New Jersey.
