James E. Davies "Jed" focuses his practice on advising and representing real property owners, managers, developers, and contractors on construction defect and cooperative and condominium law.  He also represents real property owners, managers, and general contractors in various actions involving the construction, ownership and management of real property, including defending parties in toxic and mass tort actions arising out of the construction, ownership, and use of real property.  Over the past ten years, Jed has successfully represented owners, managers, developers, and general contractors in a number of actions alleging defective workmanship, including structural failures, building envelope/curtain wall failures, and mechanical system failures in large-scale residential and commercial properties in New York City and elsewhere.

Jed began his career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York where he prosecuted property owners for violations of New York City's environmental, health, and housing laws and rules. He also defended the City of New York in actions concerning its ownership of real property.
